Mother's Tavern Restaurant

I like the local feel of this restaurant. I'm sure it has to do with the owners. Paul Brown opened it in 1994, and is a Cal Poly graduate. He and his wife are very involved in the community. The Browns have worked hard to make Mothers Tavern an essential part of the downtown experience. It's the perfect place to go after a day of shopping.
They serve the freshest food and it's not in small quantity chick food portions. I am a vegetarian, and I usually order a sandwich. It always surprises me how they pile it high with fresh avocado, red ripe tomatoes and all the veggies I would use, if I were making the sandwich at home. They also have an outstanding breakfast on the weekends.
Besides the delicious food and drink, Mother's tavern has entertainment seven days a week. They have big band Sunday, dancing to a DJ and singing to Karaoke.
I'm told they have an excellent catering service that includes food and bar, or you can have a private party there.

The cards are good for one year and the only limitations are, that you can't use them on holidays. They give you two books that have a hole lot of information on the town, the area, the events going on for the entire year, and allot more useful information. They are great for visitors or locals.
